About Helical Healing Habitat (HHH)

Helical Healing Habitat (HHH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advancing community-rooted sustainability through its flagship initiative, the BioCycle Hub—a mobile, snail-powered composting and education system that transforms food waste into soil, escargot, biomaterials, and youth-focused training programs.

Role Overview

As Chief Content Officer (CCO), you will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for shaping and managing HHH’s digital storytelling and public presence. This position is ideal for a motivated youth seeking to build a competitive portfolio in social media management, marketing, and communications.

You will lead the organization’s social media strategy and content creation, ensuring HHH’s mission and projects are effectively communicated to funders, partners, and the community. Although this is a volunteer position, it carries an official leadership title and hands-on experience suitable for future professional opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain HHH’s official social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Post at least one piece of content weekly (images, videos, updates, or stories) that aligns with our mission

  • Develop creative strategies to grow HHH’s audience and engagement online

  • Highlight milestones, community impact, and partnerships

  • Monitor trends and track analytics to refine outreach and boost visibility

  • Act as HHH’s digital voice—consistent, professional, and youth-friendly

Minimum Qualifications

  • Comfortable using major social media platforms

  • Strong written and visual communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

  • Creative mindset and willingness to learn digital storytelling

Preferred Qualifications (but not required)

  • Basic experience in Canva, Photoshop, or video editing apps

  • Interest in sustainability, agriculture, food systems, or community-building

  • Ability to develop graphics, reels, or short-form videos
