So, you want to grow mushrooms
A 500-square-foot mushroom operation can generate $72,000 to $120,000 in gross annual revenue. Specialty varieties (oyster, lion's mane, shiitake) sell at $7 to $24 per pound direct to restaurants.
If you've been cultivating in tubs in a spare room, our program offers something better: participation in a 20-acre regenerative farm in Farmersville, Texas, with mature tree cover, on-farm wood chips and compost, and a farm community that understands what you're doing and why.
Helical Healing Habitat is built around an integrated system where every output becomes someone else's input, and mushrooms belong at the center of it. Spent substrate feeds back into compost; mycelium inoculation can run on farm wood waste. Proximity to the DFW restaurant corridor gives you direct access to buyers paying restaurant-direct premiums (50–100% above wholesale) for consistent, local specialty mushrooms.
You keep all your revenue. We carry your products in our online store and feature your work in our blog and newsletter. The program fee is a tax-deductible nonprofit contribution.
Details: $350/month program participation fee (tax-deductible). Three-month minimum. Come ready to grow.
This is a Helical Healing Habitat program fellowship — not a lease or tenancy. Farm access is non-exclusive, revocable, and granted only through HHH's Community Participant Agreement. It conveys no right to occupy or control any part of the land.
